Why Most Men Waste January—and How to Break Free
You’re deep in The Void.
Those weird days between Christmas and New Year.
You’re not sure if you should diet…
…or slam dunk another mince pie in your mouth.
Your brain can’t decide if you should work out…
…or lay on the sofa and binge another Bond movie.
And it’s dark by 4pm.
I’m sick of the short, dreary days and the long, freezing nights.
We’ve hardly seen a peep of the sun for weeks.
It’s been blanket fog or cloudy as hell.
Probably that psychopath Bill Gates blocking out the sun again.
“Fuck you, Bill, I need some Vitamin D.”
But a warning:
Stop Ignoring the shit in your life
It’s easy to feel like hibernating instead of working on your goals.
But there’s a small elephant dancing in the corner of the room.
It’s got a jumper on that says:
"Stop ignoring your shit in 2025."
It’s a reminder of what’s coming.
Because every year, January rolls around with the same empty promises.
“This is it. New year, new me.”
But by February, you’ve blown it.
Most men are back where they started.
Stuck, frustrated, and pissed off about having to make the same excuses again:
“I’m too busy and haven’t got time.” (Not true.)
“I’m skint.” (Whose fault is that?)
“I don’t know what to do.” (Poor but valid excuse.)
“I can’t stay motivated.” (Nobody is motivated 24/7.)
It’s not because you don’t want to change.
It’s because you’re lost.
Why Men Fail in January
I know this for two reasons:
I speak to men like this ALL the time.
I’ve been that guy.
You’ve got the drive but no Direction.
You’ve got the ideas but lack the Strength to follow through.
Here’s the truth:
You’re not failing because you’re lazy.
You’re failing because you don’t know what you’re aiming for.
Or you’re not strong enough to stick to it when life gets hard.
Break the Cycle in 2025
Most men drift through January, looking like Joe Biden after his third nap of the day.
They set vague goals that NEVER turn into action.
They end up exactly where they started:
Another year wasted.
Another gut-wrenching feeling of regret.
But here’s the thing:
You MUST do something different this year.
Try this instead:
Set ONE clear goal for January. (You can think of one.)
Break it into small, achievable steps.
Do the hardest step first thing in the morning when your willpower is fresh.
You don’t need to do everything.
You just need to start.
This year doesn’t have to be like all the ones before it.
