The curious case of Gary Stevenson

If the last five years have taught you anything about mainstream media (and social media) it’s this:

There’s always an agenda.

So, first rule of modern life:

Be deeply suspicious of anything they all want you to see.

Let’s look at a prime example:

Andrew Tate.

Strip away everything he’s said and done.

Whether you love him or hate him (and I get it, he’s marmite), you have to understand this:

The media wanted you to see him.

If they didn’t, they’d ignore him.

But instead, he was everywhere.

On the front pages.

On all the big shows.

On all the big platforms.

The system shouted CENSOR HIM whilst they promoted him.

The system wanted people to argue online about him.

You don’t get that kind of airtime unless someone wants you seen.

Not by accident, but by design.

So let’s agree - there’s always an agenda behind visibility.

And that’s why Gary Stevenson caught my attention.

Let me be clear, I’ve never met the guy.

I’ve listened to a few months of his content.

Some things I agree with.

Some I don’t.

Which is healthy.

I’m not here to argue if what he says is right or wrong.

Because that’s opinion.

And while I worked in the City for years, I’m not an expert in tax or macroeconomics.

What I am good at is noticing patterns.

Seeing what’s pushed.

Spotting when something feels… off.

Because when someone goes from “who’s this bloke?” to “he’s everywhere” in a matter of weeks…

You should be asking ‘why?’.

Let’s look at the signs.

He’s been on Piers Morgan’s show.

And anyone with a functioning brain knows that Piers is a heavyweight puppet for mainstream narratives.

The man was foaming at the mouth during COVID, demanding people be locked up for questioning the official line.

Now? He quietly admits he was wrong.

"I became wrongly censorious, really badly censorious ... Next time around with any of these things, I'm going to be a lot more skeptical. As a journalist should be. I'm pretty ashamed of not being that to start with."

He’s not ashamed, he’s just following a script.

Gary popping up on Piers show is a massive red flag.

Then there’s the algorithm.

Instagram. TikTok. YouTube.

He’s everywhere.

And yes, I get that I watched a few clips, so I’ll be fed more.

The algorithm feeds the beast.

But there’s a difference between interest-based reach and system-wide visibility.

And this guy has the latter.

He’s been on:

  • Diary of a CEO (debating tax policy with Daniel Priestley (who I respect and have met and interviewed)

  • High Performance Podcast

  • Novara Media (900k subs)

  • The Guardian, being called a “supertrader” (cringe)

  • BBC Politics Live

  • BBC Question Time

  • BBC Outlook

That’s a LOT of major platforms.

And they don’t just hand out those invites to anyone.

You don’t get on that circuit unless you’re either:

  1. Useful to the agenda, or

  2. Compliant enough not to threaten it.

So what’s his angle?

More importantly, who decided he gets the spotlight?

That’s the question I’m asking.

Because nothing about his rise feels organic.

He certainly likes to insist that we FORCE certain people to pay more tax.

I’d be more interested if he was against more Government control.

And I find what Gary said recently very interesting…

“We got contacted by the Labour Party… they want to send some MPs onto the channel.”

Really?

The Labour Party, who ignore most independent voices, want to work with him?

He also said:

“My plan is to make this channel so big they have to talk to us… I call this the Rupert Murdoch plan.”

Now, I don’t know about you, but if Rupert Murdoch is your north star…

You’re not aiming for truth, you’re aiming for control.

And that’s an interesting game to play.

I also find it interesting that Kent Bray, the man who Gary worked under at Citibank…

said this in a LinkedIn post:

‘I do really hope his passion and desire is genuine and authentic and not just some social media quest for fame and money.’

I’d suggest he is being made famous by the system.

So I respect the fact he’s ‘apparently’ speaking up…

…and that he’s trying to challenge the system.

But something in my gut doesn’t sit right.

Often, the system will GIVE you people to follow, whilst they pull the strings behind them.

It’s called ‘Controlled Opposition’.

So I’ll be watching with curiosity.

And with the assumption that when something is everywhere, it’s rarely by accident.

Oh, and if you’re new to me, I help men build stronger lives via the Whole Man Academy.

So I usually write about Strength, Success, Direction, and Connection.

But now and then I like to mention things when they smell off.

What do you think about Gary Stevenson?

Let me know.

I’m always open to different views, as long as they’re your own, not spoon-fed by the algorithm.

Oh, and remember, the world needs strong men.
