What would you do in this situation? + £1,000 test +

An email dropped this week that got me excited.

See... As part of my 'Portfolio Career'...

I deliver Corporate Talks.

You could say I'm a Speaker.

It's with a BIG company, a 'household name'.

Anyway, the big-name bit doesn't bother me...

I've done talks for Spotify, Lloyds Bank, Domestic and General...

Credit Suisse, Daily Mail Group, and Barclays Bank to name just a few.

But here's what did excite me.

My eyes lit up when I saw its...

An IN-PERSON talk.

Meaning I get to actually go to London...

To drop my knowledge on a big crowd of people.

So I skim-read the email...

Checked if I was available on the date...

Then replied with the usual 'What's the budget?'

Because some companies know how valuable it is to have staff firing on all cylinders...

So they allocate a decent budget to various 'Wellness' talks throughout the year.

And other companies will try to spend as little as possible...

Whilst still ticking the box of 'paying people to deliver thought-provoking content'.

Anyway, here's what's interesting.

I'd rather do a talk for LESS money...

If it means I can deliver it LIVE in front of them.

That might sound silly...

But let me explain.

Let's say 2 identical companies enquire about me delivering a Men's Health talk on the same day.

One offers £1,250 to deliver the talk virtually on Zoom.

The other offers £1,000 to come in and deliver in person.

I'd choose the £1,000 in-person event every time.

And here's my thinking.

When you do a Zoom talk...

You join with 15mins to go, to do a tech check.

You deliver the talk.

Everyone claps at the end and shouts 'YOU WERE FUCKING AMAZING' at their screen...

(I think that's what they shout but can't be 100% sure)

You switch off the screen - THE END

Yeah, you'll get a few peeps add you on LinkedIn, but that's about it.

NO chance to make a personal impact.

But when you do a talk in-person you get a chance to 'mingle'.

And your opportunity to reach more people and create more impact are incalculable.

Because you get to talk to the receptionist (And I'll tell her about the WMA)

Get to talk to the security guard (And I'll tell him about the podcast)

The meet and greet people (Tell them the ethos of the WMA)

The tech guys (Tell them about the dinners in London)

You get people arriving early to take their seats who want to chat.

They tell you their story.

You get to see the faces and emotions of the people as they take on board your content.

And at the end, you'll stay around whilst people come up and chat.

You make new connections.

You get guys taking your business card.

You add new people to your Network.

But here's the best bit.

They mention a Silent Struggle or a goal that they have.

And pretty much every time...

I can either help them with an idea...

Or suggest a resource...

Or mention a contact who could.

Because I sometimes forget how much knowledge I've soaked up from...

The thousands I've spent on personal development events with giants like Tony Robbins and David Key.

The bookshelf weighed down with awesome books on:

Mindset, Fitness, Morning routine

Optimisation, Fatherhood, Coaching

Health, Nutrition, and Motivation.

The 130+ hours of interviews I've conducted with inspiring men from all different sectors.

My own life experience working for huge companies under lots of pressure to make shit loads of money...

And the thousands of hours of podcasts I've listened to that have helped me shape all of the ideas for the Journal.

So here's where I get excited.

Because one of the big reasons why the membership will be SO valuable...

Is the knowledge, experience, and wisdom I have accumulated...

ADDED to the knowledge, experience, and wisdom of men who join the membership.

And that will combine to create something very. fucking. powerful.

In fact, yesterday I recorded our first 'Elite Insider' video...

That's me talking to experts who can give us great ideas to optimise all different sections of our lives.

To help us all Become a Whole Man.

And those videos, with specific, memorable, and achievable advice will be available exclusively to the members.

I'll talk more about that next week...

PLUS I'm going to tell you about our Secret Weapon that I have lined up to help optimise one of the the most important areas of your life.

That combined with everything else will help Guide you to Greatness.

Have a great weekend.

And remember, the world needs strong men.
